Pixe has an extremely thick atmosphere that restricts access to the surface to passage via through the Eye of the Great Pixian storm. The restricted access helped hide the habitation of Pixe’s surface, but the Dolarian T-fields overshadowed the weaker Resoid T-fields from notice by alien telepaths. Only one small continent, the Isle of Inhabitation, is truly habitable due to constant volcanic activity on most other land surfaces, as well as the turbulent atmosphere. The atmosphere triples Pixe’s apparent size. Storm winds will blow smaller life forms to other rocky island, but only the hardiest plants, mostly weeds, and the most basic insect and small reptilian life manage footholds on the other, smaller islands. This island will often become mini-ecosystems whose key to their survival remains their seclusion. The Kollins dominate the ocean, and have habitations across the moon. Wasdaf live in the marshes. Norins inhabit the Northwest Range of mountains. The Resoids, oldest in Sentience, built the Great Hive in the deepest of the dry valleys. Pixe is respected throughout the galaxy as a model of how well four diverse cultures can share such a limited area in harmony. The names in which the four races originally referred to their homeworld varied. The name "Pixe", used by all four races and the Interworld medium, is of a Norin dialect and means "four", clear reference to the equality between the varied sentient natives.
